'But' Preposition usage and explanation with examples in Telugu

 But

Preposition గా  బట్ ని వాడేటప్పుడు దాని అర్థం "తప్ప( Except/apart from  )"  వస్తుంది. 

 Example : All but two have gone for dinner . 

                  ఇద్దరు తప్ప అందరు డిన్నర్(రాత్రి భోజనం) కి వెళ్లారు . 

 Last but one : చివరి నుండి రెండవది. 

   Example : He was ranked last but one in the class. 

                    అతను క్లాస్ లో చివరి నుండి రెండవ స్థానం వచ్చింది . 

Next but one : తరువాతది  కాకా ఆ  తరువాతది. (the one after the next ) 

                        They live in the house next but one to Mary. 

                         వాళ్ళు మేరీ  ఇంటి  తరువాతది  కాకా ఆ తరువాత  ఇంట్లో                             నివసిస్తారు.
