Prepositions 

Preposition లు ఒక వాక్యం లోని Noun లేదా Pronoun లేదా మరే ఇతర subject తో ఆ వాక్యం లోని ఇతర పదాలతో ఉండే సంబంధాన్ని తెలియజేస్తుంది. 

Example : I am going to Canada. 

ఇక్కడ to అనేది preposition. Canada అనే noun కి మిగితా వాక్యం తో ఉన్నా సంబంధాన్ని తెలియజేస్తుంది. Canada ని ఇక్కడ Preposition యొక్క ఆబ్జెక్ట్ అని అంటారు.    

KINDS OF PREPOSITIONS : 

Simple Prepositions : 

ఇది మాములు ఒకే word prepositions. 

above, over, in, against, of, on  , off, to, up, with, at, by, for, from, out, till, through, down, etc..

Compound prepositions:

దీని structure  ఇలా ఉంటుంది. 

Prefix preposition/a /be /by  +Noun /Adjective /Adverb 

అంటే ముందు ఒక preposition/a/be /by  వచ్చి తరువుత ఒక word, అది Noun గాని, Pronoun గాని, adjective గాని, adverb గాని లేదా ఇతర subject గాని, వచ్చి అదంతా ఒకే word గా రాయబడుతుంది.

Examples :

around = a + round 

outside, inside, into, behind, beside, beneath, below, across, between etc. 

Double preposition: 

రెండు simple prepositions కలిపి ఒకే preposition గా రాస్తే అది Double preposition అవుతుంది . 

with +out  =without 

into, upon, onto, out of, from within.

Example with  sentence:

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess.

Phrasal prepositions :

Phrasal prepositions అంటే ఒక simple preposition కి ముందు  ఒకటి లేదా అంతకన్నా ఎక్కువ పదాలు , వస్తే అవి Phrasal prepositions అవుతాయి . అంటే ఆ simple preposition, Phrasal prepositions చివరలో వస్తుంది. 

He walked as far as he could.

అతను నడవగలిగినంత దూరం నడిచాడు. 

They told me that in addition to all the work done I also needed to finish the project

వారు నాకు చెప్పారు,  అయిపోయిన పనే కాకుండా, దానికి అదనంగా నేను ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కూడా పూర్తి చేయాలి. 

Examples  

by means of, because of, on account of, in opposition to, with regard to, for the sake of, instead
of, on behalf of, in the event of, along with, in addition to, in case of, in place of, in spite of, in favour of, in accordance with, in course of, with reference to, in respect to, in comparison to, according to etc. 

Participle Prepositions:

Participle అంటే, verb forms లో ఒకటి. Verb form లోని present participle అంటే Verb +ing. 

       past participle అంటే Verb 3rd form అంటారు.

సాధారణ sentences లలో ఇవి verbs అయినప్పటికీ, కొన్ని సందర్భాలలో prepositions గా ఉపయోగించబడుతాయి. ఎందుకంటే అవి ఆ prepositions తరువాత వచ్చే subject (లేదా ఆ వాక్యం లో subject లాగా పనిచేసే  ఇతర words ) కి, అంటే ఆ preposition యొక్కobject కి మరియు ఆ వాక్యం లోని మిగతా words కి   గల సంబంధాన్ని తెలియజేస్తుంది.  దీనివల్ల ఒక sentence యొక్క length తగ్గుతుంది. 

Example : Excluding incentive, His monthly salary is 50,000/-

              incentives మినహాయిస్తే, అతను నెలసర్ జీతం 50,000/-

                  Considering the circumstances, we may leave him.  

                  పరిస్థితులను పరిశీలనలో తీసుకొని, మనం అతనిని                                       వదిలేయొచ్చు .
